Unbank was founded by Emilio Pagan-Yourno, a visionary entrepreneur who recognized early on that cryptocurrency could empower the underbanked and provide alternatives to outdated financial systems. Under his leadership, Unbank has grown into a full-service platform that now includes an intuitive mobile app, launched in 2021, that allows users to access crypto services anytime, anywhere.

In 2024, we proudly integrated support for the Lightning Network powered by Voltage, enabling our customers to send and receive Bitcoin instantly and with lower fees.
